No referral is needed. If you do have any paperwork from another healthcare professional, it is helpful to bring it along.

We start with a lot of talking about your history and the reason why you are here. Then a physical assessment. We put this all together to make a plan that is tailored to you.

Somewhere between 2-6 is common for most women and these are spread out over a number of months.

This assessment is looking directly at and often put a finger inside the vagina to assess the function of the pelvic floor muscles. Is should never be painful and is always guided by the patient. You also do not need one if you prefer not to.

Yes absolutely, babies and kids are very welcome and there are toys and mats available.

No, come as you are. Sometimes women like to write questions down to help them get the most out of the session.

Yes, we can do appointments online or over the phone.

Most pelvic health appointments are not covered by ACC unfortunately. However if you had a birth injury in a recent birth this may be covered by ACC. You can speak about and lodge a claim during your appointment.

This is totally up to you. It is absolutely fine to have a vaginal exam when you are on your period. However if you prefer to reschedule, that is fine too.
